Applicants must be able to pay the membership fee and satisfy the following: Have no overstay in Thailand, be at least 20 years old and have no criminal history
Work Permit
Holders of a Thailand Elite visa are not permitted to work and therefore are not eligible for a Work Permit.
Leaving and re-entering Thailand
The Thailand Elite visas are multiple entry. This means the holder and leave and re-enter Thailand for the duration of the visas validity.
Extending a Thailand Elite visa
Thailand Elite visas are renewable and each entry can be extended by one year.
The whole process from beginning to receiving the invitation letter can take approximately 3-4 months.

How long does it take to receive a Thailand Elite visa?

The whole process usually takes between 1 and 4 months.

What are the required documents?

The following documents are required:

  1. A photocopy of the information section of your passport (Passport must have 1 year of validity remaining).
  2. A high resolution scanned copy of any valid ID
  3. A duly-filled out application form.
  4. For immediate family (Core Members), a proof of relationship is required e.g. marriage certificate or a birth certificate.

These documents can be submitted through email, or hard copy can be sent via mail

Can I open a bank account in Thailand?

Yes, it is possible for holders of a Thailand Elite Visa to open a bank account. One of the advantages of the Thailand Elite visa is a simplified application for Thailand Elite visa holders.

Can I bring my family as dependents?

Yes, it is possible as Thailand Elite offer programs which allow your family to come to Thailand as well.

Can I apply for a Thailand Elite visa in Thailand as a tourist or on a Non-Immigrant O visa/extension?

Yes you can, however, any Non-Immigrant O Visas and Extensions of Stay will need to be cancelled before transferring to a Thailand Elite Visa.

Are there any restricitions to consider when applying for a Thailand Elite visa?

Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

  • Applicants must have no overstay record in Thailand.
  • Applicants must be at least 20 years old.
  • Applicants must not have been sentenced by a judgment to imprisonment in any countries except for an offense committed to negligence.
  • Applicants must not have ever been declared bankrupt.
  • Applicants must not have been declared as a person of unsound mind, incompet, or quasi-incompet.
  • Special Personal Income Tax (PIT) rate of 17% for highly skilled professionals.  The current rate of PIT for normal employees is taxed at a progressive rate (from 5 to 35%).
  • Tax exempted for overseas income.
  • Permission to work in Thailand. Holders of the LTR will be eligible to receive a Digital Work Permit. 
  • Exempted from the employment  requirement ratio for employers to hire four Thai citizens per foreigner (eligible for a highly skilled professional who works for a Thai company in Thailand which is endorsed in the targeted industries).
  • Use of the Fast Track Service at qualifying airports.

If you have an extension of stay based on Employment of Conducting Business, you will need to go to the Immigration Office and cancel the extension. Upon cancellation, you will be given a 7 day stamp in your passport and be required to leave Thailand.

Can I leave and re-enter Thailand?

Yes, Thailand Elite Visas are a multiple entry Visa, therefore, you can enter and leave Thailand as many times as you like during the validity of your Visa.
